Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been a huge horror movie fan :). I’ll admit it–it’s true!
This may come as a surprise to some because I’m such a huge romance-loving gal, but in my mind, the two have a bit of a weird connection. Love and death have been intertwined for centuries in art and literature.
For some reason, in the human psyche, fear and sex and death and love are interconnected, and so with that in mind, I’m venturing into uncharted waters :).
I’m a best-selling romance author who now ALSO writes horror!
Here’s the newest story–a devilish tale of occult horror set in a small town in Oregon in the ’90s:
Here’s the description:
July, 1997, Oregon
On the night little Cassidy Williams conjured up the Devil, several of the townsfolk of Coyote Falls felt something shift–a strangeness in the air–that made their hair stand on end, and their skin crawl. There were accidents that night.
Prowlers, peeping toms, and things that go bump and scratch in the night are just the beginning. Something evil’s been unleashed on this sleepy little town, and a few broken bones and one terrified hospice nurse are the least of everyone’s worries. What do you do when the Devil comes calling?
This 5300 word story is the first part in the horror occult series, THE CROSSROADS MAN, by best-selling author Delilah Fawkes!
Enjoy, my wonderful readers… if you dare take a walk on the darker side :).
